Position Purpose:
In the role of Regional Sales Engineer your primary responsibilities will include the cultivation of new business opportunities in your designated territory and the maintenance and growth of relationships with current clients. Your key objectives will revolve around establishing strong client connections and achieving sales targets. You will play a crucial role in helping our customers achieve their business goals by delivering product solutions you can take pride in. The Regional Sales Engineer will be the frontline contact between LyndexNikken and the customer. This position reports to the Regional Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Identify nurture and successfully close business deals with both new and established end user and authorized distribution customers.
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.
- Regularly travel 50 to distributors and enduser sites assessing customer needs and offering solutions
- Maintain an indepth knowledge of machine tool industry trends market conditions and competitor activities
- Provide ongoing technical training new product updates demonstrations and promotions to distribution channel sales partners.
- Present new product information and corporate initiatives to sales channels
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals quotes and presentations to enhance key account growth and engagement
- Collect utilize and share market data and trends with Regional Sales Manager to expand company market share within the territory
- Participate in trade shows conferences as well as other marketing events to differentiate LyndexNikkens high quality/precision product value proposition.
- Utilize our CRM for all prospecting and customer activities
- Assist the Regional Sales Manager in planning forecasting and managing the territory
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong selforganization prioritization schedule and planning abilities to make efficient use of time and resources when scheduling sales activities
- Solid working knowledge of CNC machinery
- Strong presentations and professional written/oral communication skills will all levels of customers (from staff to upper management)
- Able to identify customer needs and sell based on quality solutions rather than just price
- Candidate should live within the territory near major customer groups
- 3 years of sales experience in the machine tool or adjacent industry
