Job Summary:
Bethesda Systems is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems in highend residential settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to lead a team of 23 junior electricians on new and existing electrical projects and the capability to work independently when needed. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair both new and retrofit electrical systems including wiring circuit breakers outlets and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local state and national electrical codes.
- Test electrical systems and components for continuity voltage and resistance.
- Mentor and guide apprentice electricians as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients contractors and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures and protocols.
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician License in Maryland.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Journeyperson electrician.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools meters and testing equipment.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs work in confined spaces and stand for extended periods.
- Experience in residential and commerciahighend residential electrical work.
- Experience in commercial electrical work is acceptable but not essential.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Knowledge of smart home and automation systems.
- Experience with service panel upgrades and generator installations.
