We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Industrial Operations team at Thales Crawley site. With experience in wiring and building electrical assemblies youll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality.

What the role has to offer:

  • To perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
  • To adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks
  • Performs selfassessment and approval of products
  • To input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry
  • To be able to detect any fault or noncompliance and if necessary raise the alert. In addition when able should contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysis
  • To manage and record build configuration of product
  • To use the company tools (ERP Palma etc. when carrying out product assembly tasks

About You

  • Experience in wiring soldering & potting.
  • Ability to perform complex electronic operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards
  • IPC qualified
  • Experience building electronic assemblies
  • The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Experience in electronic testing
  • Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held however if not currently held it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo achieve and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances a minimum of 3 years residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks
