Job Description

Position Overview:

The Compliance Senior Manager Fair Lending is responsible for establishing and maintaining compliance risk management related to fair lending and fair housing laws rules and regulations. Our Impact:

  • Coordinate with Business Divisions in the First Line to monitor program efficiency and the impact on fair lending activities across the enterprise
  • Lead all aspects of and continually improve fair lending processes and controls to align with legal and regulatory requirements and related policies and procedures across Freddie Mac
  • Manage engagement with and examination by Internal Audit and Freddie Mac regulators including FHFA
  • Advise and collaborate with Business Divisions and enterprise functions including Legal Regulatory Affairs and Internal Audit to manage compliance risk including implementation of new requirements review and analysis of new initiatives analytics and models as well as reporting and handling customer concerns regarding regulatory matters

Your Impact:

  • Manage Freddie Macs Fair Lending Compliance Program in alignment with the Companys risk framework
  • Conduct oversight of Business Divisions and their third parties/suppliers including providing advice crafting and implementing monitoring activities and contributing to Second Line testing of controls and compliance
  • Contribute to collaborative leadership of compliance through goal setting implementation and clear communication for senior management and the Board
  • Develop appropriate policies procedures and training to effectively manage fair lending risk
  • Coordinate business activities and provide effective challenge as appropriate including policy changes new initiatives and model reviews
  • Supervise issues and remediation plans pursuant to enterprise risk standards
  • Identify assess and report on fair lending risks to management and the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Respond to reports of potential noncompliance with laws regulations or policies and standards
  • Collaborate with Business Divisions Legal and other departments to improve fair lending processes risks and controls

Qualifications:

  • JD MBA CPA preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years relevant compliancerelated functional experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of housing finance including laws and regulations related to fair lending fair housing and housing affordability
  • Proven success operating in a Three Lines framework
  • Strong team management and leadership
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and data to identify potential risks and trends
  • Effectively communicate findings and recommendations both internally and externally

This position has an annualized marketbased salary range of $142000 $214000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
