Position Summary
The person in this position is responsible for development designing testing coding and integrating software for gaming products. Troubleshoots and debugs software defects. Reviews interprets and executes software/embedded requirements and specifications
Essential Job Functions:
Creating integrating and modifying gaming software for Video Lottery Terminals while following jurisdictional requirements
Develop expert knowledge of GDK code base and subsystems and contribute to its development advancement and maintenance
Seek improvements to existing code and processes
Follow and maintain up to date knowledge on internal coding standards engineering best practices and team processes in all tasks
Collaborate with other developers artists and testers
Training and/or Experience:
Three to six years of professional programming experience on a software development team
Proficient in C# C development Object Oriented programming and design patterns
Experience with development tools including IDEs debuggers bug tracking and source control systems
Must be able to acquire and hold a Nevada Gaming License
Strong attention to detail Ability to learn with a growth mindset is essential.
Ability to multitask and work independently
Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
Game Development experience preferred
Unity or equivalent game engine is strongly preferred
Confluence Jira or equivalent project development tools preferred
Software design and architecture experience preferred
Agile Development practices
Linux/Unix experience is a plus
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or equivalent
