Job Description
- Develop and manage the municipality s annual budget.
- Oversee financial reporting audits and compliance with government regulations.
- Monitor revenue collection expenditures and financial forecasting.
- Advise elected officials and department heads on financial strategies and policies.
- Supervise accounting payroll purchasing and treasury functions.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations.
- Prepare financial reports for municipal leadership and stakeholders.
- Implement financial controls and risk management strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance Accounting Public Administration or a related field.
- Experience in government finance budgeting or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of municipal financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and data analysis.
- Excellent leadership communication and decisionmaking skills.
- CPA or Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) designation preferred.
