All AHCCCS Employees must reside within the state of Arizona.
The purpose of this position is to implement the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PAS RR) program for Arizona residents admitted to a skilled nursing facility. This position is responsible for coordinating implementing and evaluating the PASRR Program and related requirements. This position will provide ongoing training and support to providers who use the PASRR process through general technical assistance efforts as well as 1:1 training and/or corrective action efforts. This position is responsible supporting PASRR Level I and Level II reviews including evaluating submissions for completeness/accuracy and providing feedback to providers and/or facilitating Level II reviews when needed. This position requires interpretation of Federal and State rules and regulations related to PASRR. This position also supports the Case Management Unit as needed.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and monitor the processing of PASRR referrals and evaluations and back up the primary PASRR coordinator to ensure Level I and Level II submissions are addressed timely/accurately.
Train and provide technical assistance to internal staff MCOs and providers. Provide updates on changes to the PASRR processes the PASRR Portal (in coordination with ISD) and any other PASRRrelated changes. Lead technical assistance efforts with providers when trends or concerns are identified with inaccurate or incomplete information. Resolve discrepancies and provide general problemsolving efforts regarding the PASRR program (e.g. concerns appeals grievances). Track/trend data and support identification of issues/barriers/technical assistance needs.
Maintain the PASRR mailbox and update the PASRR database to monitor and track clients. Provide support to providers by addressing inquiries and/or connecting providers with ISD or other appropriate resources. Resolve discrepancies and provide general problemsolving efforts regarding the PASRR program (e.g. concerns appeals grievances).
Assist with development and monitoring of the program policies and procedures including performance audits to ensure conformance with federal and state laws and all legal mandates. Participate in contract and policy updates pertaining to PASRR program as appropriate.
Interpret Federal and State rules and regulations.
Maintain client records and referrals ensuring complete documentation on each Level I and Level II that is reviewed.
Attend meetings seminars and conferences related to program.

Minimum:
Two years of professional experience related to health programs appropriate to the assignment. Associates degree in a field appropriate to the assignment may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree a healthcare related field and/or 23 years of work experience related in Analytics Auditing Health Care or Behavioral Health.
Strong computer skills understanding of State and Federal policies and procedures governing Medicaid and Medicare and knowledge of PASRR policies and procedures.
Successfully pass fingerprint background check prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R210207.12.
