Small Door is membershipbased veterinary care designed with human standards that is better for pets pet parents and veterinarians alike. We designed and delivered a reimagined veterinary experience via a membership that includes exceptional care 24/7 telemedicine and transparent pricing delivered with modern hospitality in spaces designed by animal experts to be stressfree. We opened our flagship location in Manhattans West Village in 2020 and have quickly expanded across the East Coast. Small Door now operates in New York City Boston Washington DC and Maryland with continued expansion plans in 2025.

At Small Door our nurses are part of a supportive and collaborative network invested in their growth. Our nurses have the opportunity to work in stateoftheart facilities with strong doctor:nurse staffing ratios and have the added support of a 24/7 telehealth team and dedicated call center that drastically reduces incoming calls to the practice this means you can focus on the pets in front of you! What youll do

  • Triaging
  • Knowledge and ability to recognize medical emergencies and illnesses
  • Assessing patients
  • Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
  • Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
  • Basic husbandry and nursing care
  • Monitoring changes in patients and providing compassionate care
  • Taking blood
  • Placing catheters
  • Assisting in and facilitating radiography capture
  • Preparing samples for outside reference labs
  • Running inhouse labs
  • Preparing medications
  • Administering medications
  • Additional responsibilities to maintain a hospitable environment

MA Pay Range

$35 $35 USD
