The Role
As a Principal Infrastructure Security Engineer you are responsible for the security of Palantirs infrastructure around the globe. Your technical expertise is second only to your integrity and passion for security and technology. The ideal candidate works well on a team is highly motivated and enjoys solving problems and taking on new challenges.
In this role youre building breaking and securing the global infrastructure that powers our worldchanging products. You have a strong security mindset care deeply about infrastructure and are excited to protect our network and endpoints against all threats. You willdesign architect and drive security posture changes for Palantir and work to make life hard for our adversaries.
Core Responsibilities
- Design architect and implement defensive security controls across Palantirs endpoints network and enterprise infrastructure
- Provide security domain expertise on protective controls including system network encryption and authentication services throughout Palantirs portfolio of products services and infrastructure
- Design architect and build automated systems to provide security uplift for the organization
- Perform security evaluations on and research new platforms products vendors and services to protect Palantir data
- Partner closely with members of the Technical Operations Engineering and Information Security teams to drive impactful changes to the companys network defense posture
What We Value
- Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g. Amazon AWS Google GCP Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with infrastructure automation platforms (e.g. Packer Terraform Ansible Puppet etc.
- Proficiency withat least one scripting language (e.g. PowerShell Bash Python or similar). Experience in Golang is a plus.
- Experience working in government or government related programs
What We Require
- 5 years of direct information security experience with deep exposure in protecting enterprise technologies (DLP Endpoint Security EDR.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern adversary tactics techniques and procedures
- Ability to independently own projects and balance competing priorities while still effectively collaborating with colleagues
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance or active TS/SCI
- Ability and willingness to be in office full time
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $135000 $200000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units signon bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individuals relevant qualifications work experience skills and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential signon bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any longterm incentives.
