We currently have an immediate opening for a fulltime Operating Room Surgical Technologists in support of Labor and Delivery at Eglin Hospital Eglin AFB Fort Walton Beach FL.

Work Schedule:
12hour shifts with a 30minute lunch break. Personnel rotate every four months between Dayand Nightshifts.
Minimum Qualifications (Applicants must meet the following requirements):
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program (ABHES) or complete formal training through a U.S. Armed Forces branch for surgical technicians.
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of active fulltime OR/surgical tech experience with the last 24 months in the field including Obstetrics/Gynecology and Cesarean Sections.
- Clinical Certification: Hold CST (NBSTSA) or TSC (NCCT) certification or possess a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification.
- Life Support Certifications: Maintain ARC or AHA BLS certification.
- Security: Able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
Core Duties:
- Perform versatile roles in the operating room including scrubbing circulating and assisting with patient transport.
- Handle Sterile Processing and Distribution Department tasks as needed.
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide CPR and advanced cardiac life support when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing education.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and adhere to clinic standards.
- Ensure equipment is clean and properly stored.
- Follow safety and infection control guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain sterile equipment.
- Assist in surgical procedures and specimen care.
- Possess knowledge of relevant medical topics.
- Utilize basic computer skills for data entry.
- Operate various medical and nonmedical equipment.
- Understand and ensure compliance with clinic standards and protocols.
