Job Description
What Youll Do:
Performs unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks involved in preparing a space for use including placing tables chairs stages and risers scenery and signage; prepares program equipment; assists in set up and operation of audiovisual equipment exhibit booths and podiums; removes same after event; performs various custodial duties including sweepingremoving trash mopping removal of debris; cleaning restrooms; cleaning common areas as needed; ensures that theCapitol Square facilities are not damaged during events (particularly weddings and receptions); communicates withsupervisor & other event staff caterers clients vendors and the public as directed/required to maintain a high level ofcustomer service at Statehouse events.
Performs minor repair of special event equipment with basic tools; performs various other routine maintenance tasks underthe supervision of the Maintenance department; performs other duties as assigned.

Work schedule is variable based on the events schedule but will include evenings and weekends

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) is responsible for maintaining the historic character of Capitol Square while providing for the health safety and convenience of those who work in and visit the complex. CSRAB is charged with interpreting the role of Ohios Statehouse in national and Ohio history to celebrate its art and architecture and to highlight its ongoing impact on the daily lives of Ohioans and thereby inspire all Ohioans to participate in state government.
