Lead Technical Program Manager FinTech Engineering PMO
Cloudflare has embarked on a transformation of our entire quote to cash process. We are seeking a highly skilled and selfmotivated Technical Program Manager to lead and manage the FinTech portfolio of projects. Your main responsibility will be to work cross functionally across Product Engineering Design Revenue Ops Finance BI external vendors and more to build and execute on the overall strategy.
You will play an active part in collecting requirements setting up deliverables reporting progress managing stakeholder expectations and working with various functions to deliver success. You will partner with various product and engineering counterparts to determine available options manage stakeholder expectations and execute against the roadmap.
This job involves managing multiple stakeholders and accommodating teams dispersed across multiple time zones.
The ideal candidate is process driven but remains flexible and iterative someone who loves to tackle new challenges really enjoys bringing people together as a team and driving them towards success.
This position can be based in Austin Denver Atlanta or Washington D.C.. You will be reporting into the Engineering Program Management Organization (PMO).
Major areas of responsibilities
- Work horizontally. Disparate groups like Engineering Product Management Finance Revenue Operations Business Intelligence and external vendors like Stripe and Salesforce all need to keep plans aligned and work together to deliver commitments.
- Span timescales. Short term deliverables like supporting product launches medium term ones like migrating billing progresses and longer term ones like a full ERP implementation all need to be serviced. The urgent cannot starve the important.
- Understand technical requirements of products in the Quote to Cash lifecycle
- Effectively balance risk and achieve business objectives
- Obtain clear requirements plans and decisions to proactively tackle critical gaps and mitigate risk
- Drive creation and roll out of scalable processes to meet product and engineering team goals
- Set up regular feedback cycles and ensure buyin from contributors on program plan & roadmap
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Coach and mentor team members to effectively cover areas that need attention
Desirable skills and knowledge
- BS in Computer Science Information Technology Information Security or related field or equivalent experience
- 10 years experience in technical program management and a desire for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated success delivering technology solutions in the Billing space
- Knowledge of best practices for in fintech financial reporting compliance or other similar domain at a Saas company
- Proven track record on creating realistic project plans managing dependencies and overseeing to meet commitments and deliver with predictability
- Excellent oral and written communication proven track record of effective communication at various levels including executive level
- Experience working with multiple time zones and multiple cross functional teams
- Strong competency with Confluence JIRA (adminlevel experience strongly preferred) and various development methodologies (Agile Waterfall Kaizen Scrum etc)
- Servant leader who has successfully gained authority with peers by demonstrating empathy providing support and motivating others
- Comfortable managing tight deadlines changing priorities and ambiguity.
