Job Description

The LP Risk Associate is a support role for the LP Team. This position reviews exceptions from various LP software applications makes determinations of the outcome of the exceptions and initiates cases as needed. This role will also assist with coverage of the Receptionist desk as needed. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Lines core values of Customer People Winning Community and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:

  • Assists with investigations involving theft fraud policy abuse etc.

  • Monitors POS transactions for fraud

  • Gathers and documents evidence as it relates to theft incidents and policy abuse.

  • Enters cases into the case management system

  • On an adhoc/asneed basis may provide coverage & receptionist duties for corporate office front desk & Distribution Center LP desk.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Competency Expectations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven decisionmaking and problem solving skills required.

  • Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision

  • Possess high level of maturity discretion tact judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Good time management organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of retail operations inventory control or Loss Prevention functions preferred

Required Education and/or Experience

Associates degree is preferred but not required along with 1 2 years of experience in either retail loss prevention or with analytics; or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred.

Required Computer and/or Technical Skills

Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite Products and the technical ability to learn various loss prevention systems.

  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with the companys policies are required for the position.

  • Average work week is 4050 hours which can vary depending on business need.

  • The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy mall / store setting. Travel air or land is required 3 to 5 days per week.
