Commercial Lines Producer
Position Overview: A Commercial Lines Producer is responsible for generating new business and managing existing commercial insurance accounts. This role involves prospecting building relationships with clients assessing their needs and providing tailored insurance solutions to help businesses mitigate risk. The position requires a deep understanding of commercial insurance products excellent sales skills and a proactive approach to client management.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients.
- Network with business owners decisionmakers and referral sources to generate leads.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and achieve sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Understand client needs and objectives to recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Risk Assessment and Needs Analysis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients business operations to identify risks and determine appropriate insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with underwriters to assess risk and obtain competitive quotes for clients.
- Provide clients with tailored insurance packages that meet their unique requirements.
Proposal Preparation and Presentation:
- Prepare and present detailed insurance proposals to prospective and existing clients.
- Communicate complex insurance concepts and options in a clear and understandable manner.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to close new business deals.
Account Management:
- Oversee the renewal process for existing clients ensuring timely followup and smooth transitions.
- Continuously monitor accounts to ensure proper coverage making adjustments as needed to address evolving client needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends regulatory changes and competitive offerings to provide clients with uptodate information.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with account managers underwriters and other internal teams to ensure the successful of client policies.
- Collaborate with service teams to resolve claims and address customer service issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance or a related field (preferred).
- Active property and casualty insurance license (required).
- Proven experience in commercial lines insurance sales account management or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage options.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
- Proficiency in insurance management software and CRM tools.
Compensation:
- Base salary plus commission
