About us
Placemaking NSW is responsible for managing and caring for some of Sydneys most iconic harbourside venues and locations including The Rocks Barangaroo Darling Harbour and White Bay Power Station. We also lead the planning and delivery of the Bays West Urban Renewal Precinct a state significant project that will bring new homes jobs and public spaces to 77 hectares of governmentowned land just 2 kilometres from Sydneys CBD.
The role
The Rocks is a unique and vibrant heritage precinct and this role is all about keeping it thriving. Youll manage a diverse mix of retail and public assets ensuring they perform at their best while maintaining the character and appeal of the area. From overseeing tenancy agreements to working closely with outsourced property and facilities teams youll make sure everything runs smoothly meets compliance and delivers great experiences for visitors tenants and stakeholders alike.
Balancing heritage values with commercial success youll develop leasing strategies optimise asset performance and drive initiatives to reduce vacancies and increase revenue. Youll also stay on top of market trends identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain the precincts appeal while achieving strong financial outcomes.
