Job Description
To further strengthen our team we are looking for a Field Service Engineer Cargo to join us at Kongsberg Maritime here in New Orleans LA. As a Field Service Engineer you will have responsibility for installation service and maintenance of KONGSBERGs KGauge Tank Level Gauging Systems on sailing ships/vessels and in shipyards as well as offer inhouse technical support and remote service to customers and colleagues around the world. One of our key offerings is the fiscal KGauge Custody Transfer System (CTS) which is a critical system in LNG and LPG carrier operations.

Key accountabilities
- Installation & commissioning of KGauge tank level monitoring systems
- Service & maintenance of KGauge systems onboard vessels worldwide
- Inoffice technical support and remote services to global colleagues and customers
- Willingness to travel up to 5070
Key responsibilities:
- Provide preventative and corrective maintenance to Kongsberg control systems
- Read and interpret drawings and controls system architecture
- Use of a multimeter /pressure gauges and SW tools for troubleshooting communication or loop errors.
- Learn the Kongsberg KChief 600/700 Automation systems and the integration of the KGauge system
Qualifications and experience
- Typically bachelors masters degree or equivalent in one or more of the following: electronics instrumentation automation or telecommunication. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
- Field experience from maritime shipping and/or offshore oil & gas installations is an advantage
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Highly motivated for worldwide support activities (travelling is required)
