We are seeking a Data Engineer in support of a Federal Agency customer. This position requires an ACTIVE TOPSECRET security clearance and the ability to work onsite in the DC metro Area. With customer approval a hybrid schedule will be available.
Responsibilities
Description:
Work with a team using an Agile methodology to provide highquality service to our customers through the design and development of enterprise data flows using. Defines requirements and algorithms needed to transform transactional data into analytical data objects and to develop pipelines to transform source data into analytical data objects that can be used by customers and analysts to visualize trends and promote analysis of the data. Builds and manages workflows used to ingest profile cleanse and curate data and ensure workflows are built according to defined standards and consistent with pipeline specifications and customer data requirements. Documents data management designs solutions processes and procedures and present them to teammates when needed. Applies knowledge of data security ethics surrounding the handling of sensitive data exception handling data governance metadata management change management.
Requirements:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Must have SQL experience with advanced queries
- Experience with Databricks in AWS
- Experience with Data Warehouse / Data Lakes a plus
Physical Requirements: These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job.
- Sedentary work.
- Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
- May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
- Fine repetitive motor skills with hands wrists and fingers in coordination with eyes.
- Hearing speaking and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person via video and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Other: Work may be performed in an office environment which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
