Job Summary:
The School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a fulltime Professor / Associate Professor 12MO) TenureTrack. The successful candidate will:
- Have a primary appointment in the Department of Community Health Sciences or Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
- Contribute to building and maintaining a collegial community of scholars and educators aligned with our schools values and commitment to health equity and social justice.
- Contribute to supporting the growth of both the School of Public Health and the Translational Program of Health disparities Research Training (TRANSPORT) a research endowment grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Support the professional growth of students postdoctoral trainees and earlystage faculty including leadership in the planning and implementation of programs to support the success of TRANSPORT trainees.
Required Qualifications:
- Terminal Degree in Public Health or related field.
- Clearly defined record of excellence in research and scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commitment to health equity research evidenced by scholarship and funding history.
- Track record of successful mentorship of earlystage investigators.
