Summary
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the retail and wholesale pharmacies managing 340B split billing software supporting pharmacyrelated projects and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role will also provide leadership in specialty pharmacy services and act as a key resource for the department. Additionally the Pharmacy Operations Manager will serve as the designated backup to the Director of Pharmacy and assist with strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Essential Duties
1. Oversee daily operations of the retail wholesale and specialty pharmacy ensuring optimal workflow compliance with federal and state regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
2.Manage pharmacy inventory purchasing and formulary decisions to optimize stock levels ensure costeffective medication use and maintain compliance with regulations.
3.Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations including DEA FDA HRSA OPA and Board of Pharmacy requirements while overseeing 340B split billing software and compliance.
4.Provide operational leadership for specialty pharmacy services ensuring highquality care for patients requiring complex medication therapies and maintaining specialty pharmacy accreditations.
5. Lead and support pharmacyrelated projects process improvements and technology implementations to enhance efficiency financial performance and patient access to specialty medications.
6.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including providers finance nursing and compliance to improve pharmacy operations and interdepartmental communication.
7.Conduct regular audits and ensure appropriate documentation and billing practices to uphold financial and regulatory compliance.
8.Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain patient safety quality assurance and operational excellence across pharmacy services.
9.Assist in accreditation program expansion and strategic initiatives to improve access to specialty medications and enhance overall pharmacy services.
10. Serve on committees and work groups related to retail pharmacy 340B and other pharmacy initiatives as needed. Act as a backup to the Director of Pharmacy overseeing operations in their absence and providing continuity in leadership and decisionmaking.
