Locomotive Maintainer II Mech

About the role:

Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Locomotive Maintainer (Diesel Fitter preferred) to join our Gladstone maintenance depot. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation thatvalues both its people and safetyalike. You will be responsible for:

• Performing complex troubleshooting fault rectification duties repairs modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
• Supervising mentoring and assisting the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
• Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and Maintenance Management Systems.
• Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service

About you

• Must hold a mechanical trade certificate Diesel Fitter preferred.
• Heavy industry maintenance or mining background
• Strong commitment to safety.
• High level skill in trouble shooting fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
• Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
• Sound computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
