Job Description
Founded in 2013 Voodoo is a tech company that creates mobile games and apps with a mission to entertain the world. Gathering 800 employees 7 billion downloads and over 200 million active users Voodoo is the #3 mobile publisher worldwide in terms of downloads after Google and Meta. Our portfolio includes charttopping games like Mob Control and Block Jam alongside popular apps such as BeReal and Wizz.
Team
Blitz is a gaming platform launched by Voodoo in 2021 allowing players to compete on mobile games for real cash prizes (headup tournaments leagues etc.. It is leveraging Voodoos unique game portfolio to engage users in a fun and rewarding way.
Role
We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer (Python) who will play a key role in the development of Blitz our realmoney gaming platform.
- Design and implement services that plug and play with the existing microservice ecosystem
- Contribute to choice of the technology stack and observe best practices for reliability and availability
- Explore and solve openended problems that span across the backend and infrastructure
Profile
- Excellent backend programming skills with 4 years of experience
- A good understanding of the basics of algorithms and databases
- Write readable maintainable and testable code
- Experience with any cloud infrastructure provider (AWS GCP etc.
- The willingness to learn and evolve
- Experience writing productiongrade systems in Python
- Experience with microservice architecture and highly distributed systems
- Experience with Payment Services Providers
- Knowledge of frontend development (HTML CSS JavaScript) and frameworks associated (Bootstrap JQuery Vue.js
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform
