Lead Engineer Point of Sales Systems IT/Systems department
Point of Sales (POS) systems are used extensively throughout our businesses. This includes hotels restaurants retail and attraction businesses. There are multiple POS systems and hardware configurations. These include Micros (currently 3 unique versions) Aloha CEGID Squirrel and related integrated software such as Yellow Dog. This position reports to the Manager of Information Services and is responsible for taking the lead on managing all POS systems recommending improvements implementing and maintaining role security within the systems in conjunction with the Financial Controller of Food and Beverage. As lead of POS you will providing your guidance and feedback on the POS systems including POS optimization vendor analyses (both software and hardware related) and their integration into the broader CNH Group IT infrastructure. Operating within a small IT team as Lead for POS you will have other team members working with you on projects or on issues the ability to work effectively in a team is critical. Your skill set would also include hands on troubleshooting/support of higher level calls on the majority of the systems; determining the urgency of the situation relative to other calls and comfortably prioritizing issues. You will also be required to locate the resources necessary to correct issues as they arise. This can include calling vendors working with internal resources then communicating and documenting the resolution of said issue.
