Job Description

Job Description: It is the responsibility of the Crisis Specialist to conduct phone and mobile crisis services including triage assessment and crisis interventions.
Schedule Details: Part Time Weekend shifts available.
Program: Valley Creek Crisis Center
Location:Exton PA
Job Functions:
- Conduct effective crisis assessments triage and stabilization.
- Provide clinical levelofcare evaluations.
- Conduct telephone crisis counseling to determine appropriate interventions.
- Participate in mobile outreach in a variety of community settings.
- Conduct appropriate aftercare followup contacts.
- Collaborate with community partners.
- Provide service referrals and linkage as clinically appropriate.
- Maintain quality documentation of clinical service delivery.
- Provide timely supporting documentation for all clinical services provided.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Crisis Specialist Masters degree in clinical or counseling psychology clinical social work addictions OR BA degree and 5 years of experience. Crisis Counselor Bachelors Degree
Experience: Experience in a behavioral health setting including experience with crisis assessment triage intervention and community resources/systems.
Licensure/Certification: Licensure and/or certification preferred.
Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse Criminal and fingerprintbased federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list
Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
