Housing Empowering Housing Solutions for All in Wiltshire
Our Homelessness and Prevention Team ensures that individuals facing the threat of homelessness are supported through taking up temporary accommodation to move into settled living.
The countywide Housing Solutions Service provides genuine alternative options to homelessness through specialist advice for domestic abuse victims. In this vital role you wont just deal with homelessness when it happens you will proactively seek to prevent it.
In this crucial role you will carry out comprehensive assessment of the clients circumstances which will then allow you working with them to draw up a Personalised Housing Plan which will set out the reasonable steps both Wiltshire Council and the client need to take to address the risk of homelessness.
We are looking for a candidate who is customerfocused empathetic and creative with a commitment to working in partnership with internal and external contacts to ensure a high quality and efficient service. You will have knowledge of tenancy and homelessness laws along with experience of managing a demanding caseload with competing demands on your time. You should be highly literate and numerate with excellent communication organisational and IT skills and a natural aptitude for dealing with any situation.
