The awardwinning Forbes 4Star and AAA 5DiamondWaldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Clubis looking for anEvent Managerto join the Events Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach this town played an iconic role in the emergence of Californias surf culture and today is celebrated for its laidback vibe and fun active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms 115000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space and 8 food and Beverage outlets.This includes4 restaurants a beach club lounge marketplace and IRD.

In this role you will be responsible for event documentation such as creating diagrams menu planning and building BEOs. You will also coordinate the events with Sales hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent highlevel service throughout the preevent event and postevent phases of group and social events.

The ideal candidate will have luxury experience and at least one to two years of hotel related experience at manager level. It would be advantageous to have corporate event experience. Delphi FDC and OnQ experience is preferred.

What will I be doing

In this role you will craft events with creativity to maximize revenue and enhance the event experience. A crucial aspect is the maintenance of established relationships with corporate and group accounts. Your responsibilities encompass documenting events and liaising with hotel departments and clients to guarantee uniform superior service during all stages of the events. You will pinpoint opportunities to boost revenue through upselling and offering additional features to produce outstanding events. Moreover you will serve as the main point of contact for the event planner following the initial handover at the venue.

Specifically your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

What are we looking for

Minimum Years of Experience: one 1 year Hospitality related experience at manager level.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
Relevant degree in business development or other relevant business field from an academic institution (CMP CPCE)
