Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:
ADN required BSN preferred
BLS and ACLS required
23 years RN experience required at least 1year supervisory experience preferred
Department/Unit Summary
A new opportunity is available for our busy MedicalSurgical unit as an RN Manager. Our 22bed unit is split onto two floors with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5/6 is staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Patient Sitters providing care for a mis of patients including those on dialysis diabetes heart disease geriatric patients and recovering surgical patients.
This position reports to the Director of Med/Surg and performs the following essential functions:
- Defines the mission for the department and shares the corporate vision with assigned staff.
- Directs operations and administration of the department under the general guidance of their Administrative Representative.
- Develops and directs assigned personnel in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
