Job Description
Product Analytics aims to help developers product managers and designers understand their users take dataoriented product decisions and evaluate the impact of technical issues on their customer base. As the Engineering Manager for the Product Analytics Backend team youll join a new fast growing product area. You will support scaling the team define our technical vision and help shape the product roadmap. Your team will lead the charge on multiple technical challenges: creating a robust and flexible query system to support innovative visualizations ingest and enrich user journey data from multiple sources and tailor our product automatically to the users setup.

What Youll Do:
- Manage and grow the Product Analytics Backend team directly managing 46 engineers
- Define our backend technical roadmap in alignment with product goals and the frontend team
- Work with our core platform teams to tailor Datadogs storage and query solutions to our needs
- Create a strong team culture aligned with our engineering standards and our customer focus
- Participate in handson work: Code reviews design reviews and some coding
Who You Are:
- A Software Engineer at heart with a previous experience leading software engineering teams as a tech lead or people manager
- Excellent leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and lead highperforming teams
- Interested in working on an early stage project with many challenges to solve and a fast iteration cycle
- You have a track record of delivering highquality software products on schedule and collaborating closely with product partners.
- Strong technician particularly with Go Java or SQL who is interested in remaining a handson leader
