Audacy Inc. seeks a talented and energetic individual to serve as a Technical Engineer for our seven radio stations in Portland.

What Youll Do:
- Minimum of 5 years of broadcast engineering experience.
- Handson experience with FM HD and AM transmitters including AM directional antenna systems.
- Ability to inspect repair and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment including transmitters antennas satellite downlinks automation systems studio equipment remote equipment generators telephone systems and related other equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to multitask in a multiple project environment.
- IT and network knowledge and experience.
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in document spreadsheet and documentation software applications.
- Experience with computerbased audio storage systems (WideOrbit/VoxPro preferred).
- Experience with digital audio and audio streaming.
- Assist with the maintenance and development of all aspects of technical facilities including studios transmitters telephone systems satellite STL computers and data networks.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of computers and IT systems including networking and proficiency with Google Workspace.
- A valid drivers license satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check and if the position requires the use of the applicants own vehicle proof of insurance.
- Physical requirements: Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and smell. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred:
- SBE Certification.
- Experience with modern digital audio systems including WideOrbit VoxPro and Audio Over IP.
- Availability to work various hours/days including weekends and holidays.
- At least four years of college or technical school education and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Oncall availability 24/7 in case of equipment failure.
