Job Description
The department of English Language and Literature at Weber State University invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor of English Education who will prepare preservice teachers to effectively teach in secondary settings through equitable and inclusive classroom practices that sustain and affirm K12 students identities and lived experiences. We invite candidates with expertise in one or more areas of English Education including but not limited to: Latinx education traumainformed education critical youth studies queer studies childrens and young adult literature and media or digital literacy. The expected start date for this position is July 1 2024.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in English Education English or a related field; Evidence of effective teaching.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years teaching in secondary schools; Experience collaborating with local area schools and various nonprofit youth and community organizations that support K12 students teachers and stakeholders; Experience teaching online and facetoface.
