As a Driver for Sierra Forest Products you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and enhance our customer experience.
If you are passionate about making a difference impacting driver operations efficiencies partnering with our warehouse teams and ensuring products are distributed safely this opportunity may be the right fit for you.
What you will do:
- Operate a tractor trailer; potentially straight truck as needed.
- Ongoing and continuous learning and development; including forklift certification.
- Comply with applicable legislation including safety operation carriage of goods drivers hours occupational health and safety and applicable traffic laws.
- Perform pre/posttrip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical safety and emergency equipment meets our rigorous safety standards.
- Maintain daily logs inspection logs and other necessary driver compliance documentation.
- Fill reports such as Driver logs inspection reports (pretrip enroute posttrip) maintenance and repair reports and incident reports.
- Perform all aspects of truck and trailer load securement.
- Physically capable of opening and closing curtains on the trailer.
- Safely load and unload premium quality wood products for our customers.
- May be required to operate a forklift and/or moffett.
- Safely lift material up to 75 pounds.
- Provide an excellent customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- A valid Commercial Drivers license.
- Minimum 3 years CDL A licensed and on the road.
- Clear Abstract/MVR report.
- Flexibility to start between the hours of 4:00 am and 7:00 am.
- A positive and growth mindset.
