Head of Communication for Business Area Generation

Role overview 

As Head of Communications for Business Area Generation you will report to the Vice President Business & Corporate Communication and work closely with the Senior Vice President of Business Area Generation. You will be a key member of both the Business & Corporate Communication management team and the Business Area Generation management team shaping and executing strategic communication efforts across the company. 

Our Staff Function Communication supports Vattenfalls business strategy across all markets and stakeholders. We collaborate closely with Business Areas and Staff Functions to empower employees and support business objectives Within Communications this work is carried out in close collaboration between the Brand Media Relations Public & Regulatory Affairs and Business & Corporate Communication teams. As a businessdriven communication function we understand our industry stakeholders and market dynamics. We proactively identify opportunities and challenges developing strategies that leverage our unique position to drive progress. Main Responsibilities 

• Develop and execute a communication plan for BA Generation in collaboration with the Business Area and communication experts from Media Relations Brand Public & Regulatory Affairs and Project Management teams. 

• Act as a strategic advisor to the Senior Vice President and the BA Generation management team providing both highlevel counsel and handson support on all internal and external communication matters. 

• Plan and execute communication projects and activities to support BA Generations business objectives: 

• Internal communication: Enhance employee engagement and understanding of the business strategy and support transformation of BA Generation. Develop and implement internal communication formats and drive change communication. 

• External communication: Build awareness and understanding of BA Generations strategy support business goals and contribute to shaping favorable business and regulatory frameworks. Navigate a complex stakeholder and media landscape. 

• Contribute to groupwide communication projects ensuring a consistent and integrated Vattenfall narrative. 

• Manage functional communication teams across various internal and external projects working with colleagues in five markets in an international setting. 

• Oversee resources budgeting and performance tracking to ensure efficient and impactful communication as well as streamlined and simplified ways of working.  

Qualifications :

Desirededucation and experience: 

• University degree in Communications Political Science Business or another relevant topic. 

• Extensive experience (min. 7 years) in both internal and external communication including experience in a managerial position. 

• Experience working in an international environment across several markets. Ideally experience with different disciplines of communication.

Curious & innovative: You are eager to explore new and creative ways to communicate staying ahead of trends and technologies. With a strong interest in society you quickly adapt and experiment with innovative approaches to ensure effective and impactful communication. 

Language: You need to be fluent in English language (written and verbal) and in Swedish.
