Summary of Position:

The Medical Evidence team at AstraZeneca Canada oversees AstraZenecasponsored realworld evidence (RWE) and externally sponsored research (ESR) studies. As an Evidence Delivery Manager you will drive the strategic of these studies across therapeutic areas in the Oncology and Biopharmaceuticals Business Units.

Reporting to the Director of Medical Evidence youll collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure compliance with policies and meet study objectives. Youll act as the subject matter expert on evidence delivery processes develop essential resources and foster a strategic network to optimize operations.

Additionally youll liaise with external stakeholders such as healthcare professionals and researchers and manage vendor relationships ensuring streamlined study delivery.

What Youll Do:

  • Manage the purchasetopay (P2P) process for RWE and ESR studies including purchase orders invoice processing payment tracking reconciliations and monthly accruals.
  • Oversee the Finance/Budget Tracker ensuring that spending aligns with contracted milestones and communicate budget changes to the Finance team.
  • Prepare and review contracts with vendors in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
  • Serve as the expert on Veeva Clinical Vault (VCV) and eTMF requirements collaborating with Global Evidence Delivery and providing training to the Medical Evidence team.
  • Lead process improvements with crossfunctional teams to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
  • Support evidence generation activities such as analysis reviews and knowledge translation.


Specific to ESRs (if assigned):

  • Lead collaborations with the global ESR group and Canadian scientific personnel managing reviews entries and tracking of Canadian ESRs in line with policies.
  • Coordinate proposal and protocol reviews and approvals locally and globally.
  • Manage confidentiality and ESR study agreements as well as contract negotiations with investigators.
  • Assist ESR sponsors with regulatory or ethics submissions and manage drug supply processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in AZ systems like Veeva Clinical Vault ACCORD and Coupa.
  • Organize and participate in meetings with AZ teams and ESR sponsors to discuss study updates and problemsolving.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience in project and clinical study management including familiarity with RWE and clinical trial operations the drug development process in Canada and research guidelines (e.g. GCP/ICH).
  • A Bachelors degree in Science is required with a focus on epidemiology being advantageous.
  • Project management certification such as PMP is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in managing study documentation using systems like Veeva Clinical Vault (VCV) and experience with automating or streamlining processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a crossfunctional environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and maintain robust relationships with external investigators and research institutions.
  • Selfdriven with excellent time management organization and attention to detail capable of navigating multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Skilled at evaluating and challenging current processes to enhance departmental efficiency.
