DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 (CA2 in this position is responsible for providing comprehensive clerical support functions for the Central Regional Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) in carrying out the mandated functions of the licensing/approval of regional childcare facilities.

The CA2 in this position must have knowledge of childcare operations. Your work must be planned and organized efficiently and prioritized to assure a smooth workflow and to meet deadlines as required. Work involves extensive use of the personal computer and other office equipment.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


Special Requirements:
  • This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
  • This position requires the ability to take and transcribe dictation.

Legal Requirements:
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

    • Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
