The Centralized Records Coordination Unit (CRCU) Team Lead performs daily activities with significant difficulty and complexity involving various requests for redacted records received from the public media court personnel dependency requests as well as out of state Child Protective Services (CPS) agencies and law enforcement in addition to other statutorily entitled groups. They assist staff according to current request workload and provide support to existing CRCU Records Managers in accordance with Department personnel rules and policies.
The CRCU Team Lead will conduct quality assurance reviews of staff work product assist in the completion of research in systems regarding child maltreatment records in addition to redacting the documents. This position will be skilled in the use of the DCS Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) and Guardian and act in the role of a Super User for CRCU. Will ensure the Department provides redacted records to requesters in compliance with all applicable statutes and policies. This position will be responsible for training new staff providing continual support to Records Management Specialists (Redactors) and completion of special projects and requests. This position will be responsible for high profile case redactions as determined by the CRCU Administrator and/or Program Administrator for Legal Services. This position will be responsible for assisting the CRCU Intake Unit with special requests projects and duties.
This position requires the ability to work independently in order to research and identify documents relating to confidential matters. To communicate with the Attorney Generals Office (AGO) court personnel and internal legal counsel with legal matters and provide communication to CRCU staff concerning said documents and what information is to be redacted and what is approved to be released. The Team Lead also needs to be able to correctly interpret subpoenas served on the unit and determine the appropriate action required. Provides leadership mentoring coaching and supportive supervision of staff.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Associates Degree preferred in related field such as Pubic Administration Business Public Policy Social Work or Law with at least one year of experience in governmental or related private/nonprofit sector work. Absent a AA or BS degree have at least two years experience in governmental or related private/nonprofit sector work redacting records.
Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from DCS Central Registry.
