Job Description
Are you a serviceoriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Internal Service Advisor to join our dynamic team at McGrath Honda of St. Charles. As an Internal Service Advisor you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency within our service department and sales department on any repairs or inspections related to instock vehicles.
Responsibilities:
1. . Used Car Inspections and Repairs:
Conduct comprehensive inspections of used cars identifying any mechanical or cosmetic issues.
Collaborate with the used car department to coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks for used vehicles.
Document all expenses associated with repairs and maintenance of each used car in shared spreadsheets ensuring accurate and uptodate records
2. New Car PreDelivery Inspections (PDI):
Oversee the stockingin process for new car PDIs ensuring thorough inspections and adherence to quality standards.
Write work orders for new car PDIs clearly documenting any required repairs or adjustments.
Coordinate with the service technicians to prioritize and efficiently complete new car PDIs.
3. Parts Ordering and We Owe Repairs:
Handle the ordering of parts required for we owe repairs ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
Collaborate with the service team to ensure accurate parts inventory management.
Maintain clear communication with BDC regarding the status of we owe orders and esuring appointments are scheduled in a timely manner.
4. Customer Service and Communication:
Provide exceptional customer service promptly addressing inquiries from our Sales Team or Service Management Team and providing regular updates on service progress.
Maintain open lines of communication with the service team sales department and management to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Previous experience in an automotive service advisor role or similar position within a dealership environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and repairs including familiarity with ordering processes.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal departments.
Detailoriented mindset to accurately document expenses and maintain records.
Proficiency in using spreadsheets and other relevant software for data entry and tracking.
Strong customer service and problemsolving skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to customers.
