Job Description
Grade: UE07:per annum
College of Science and Engineering/School of Chemistry
Fulltime: 35 hours per week
Fixed term: 28 months wef from 1 May 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled scientist to contribute to the development of spatiallyresolved 14C measurement techniques by mass spectrometry.
EPSRCfunded research.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cuttingedge research involving the development and optimisation of spatiallyresolved14C mass spectrometry. The role will focus on implementing and refining novel techniques operating advanced instrumentation and delivering highquality data to support the projects objectives. You will join a dynamic and collaborative research environment contributing to innovative scientific advancements with realworld impact.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Strong background in mass spectrometry analytical chemistry physics or a related field.
- Experience with instrumentation development optimisation and maintenance.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
- Proven ability to analyse interpret and report experimental data accurately.
- Strong communication skills with experience in collaborating across disciplines or presenting research findings.
