The Department of Economic Security Division of Technology Services (DTS) is seeking an experienced and highlymotivated individual to join our team as a Applications Architect (Applications Development Lead). This position is responsible for leading system development and maintenance while guiding a team of developers. This role ensures project completion within established timelines and quality standards by making critical technical decisions providing strategic direction and communicating project progress. The Applications Development Lead combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive the success of software development initiatives. The Applications Development Lead is also responsible for ensuring project completion on time and within quality standards making technical decisions mentoring team members and acting as a bridge between the technical team and stakeholders by communicating project progress and requirements effectively.This position is also responsible for performingOnCall after hour support when needed.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide on call support as needed.
- Provide architectural and application design directions to development team and establish and implement development standards including mentoring other developers.
- Architect and design new integrations. Work with a broad set of technologies such as Salesforce MuleSoft SmartComm Informatica Microsoft AZURE SQL Server Web Inspect Checkmarx Tableau Integrations Designing and Architecting solutions Database Conversion.
- Lead enterprise architecture initiatives in the development and customization of software development based on needs.
Knowledge of:
- REST APIs Salesforce
- SmartComm Informatica iRules Mulesoft Microsoft AZURE Web Inspect Checkmarx Tableau
- ADA Testing Data modeling SQL AZURE DEVOPS

This ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Masters degree. Hands on experience with web development and SQL.
- Eight years of experience with Salesforce Microsoft Azure Integrations SQL Server Designing and Architecting solutions Database Conversion
- Ability to work OnCall after hour support when needed
- Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 411969.
- Bachelors degree plus 10 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).
- Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
- All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (EVerify).

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the LongTerm Disability (LTD) program after a 27week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for lifelong income upon retirement.
