$135000 $175000 Bonus


Our client a rapidly growing Quick Service Restaurant brand is looking to hire In House Legal Counsel to drive continued market growth. Headquartered in London ON our client has aggressive expansion plans and require In House Legal Counsel with Indepth knowledge of franchise laws contracts and regulatory compliance.


In House Legal Counsel Position Summary:

In this role you will play a critical role in navigating legal complexities ensuring compliance and protecting the interests of our client as they expand their franchise network. The position is a hybrid role combining remote work with occasional inoffice responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of extensive experience in franchise law and a proven track record working with or for QSR brands.


In House Legal Counsel Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice on franchise agreements development contracts and other franchiserelated matters.
Draft review and negotiate contracts leases and other legal documents to support the companys growth.
Ensure compliance with franchise laws and regulations in all operational jurisdictions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal concerns related to real estate operations and procurement.
Manage dispute resolution processes and oversee litigation as needed.
Develop and maintain standard legal documentation and processes to streamline franchise operations.
Stay updated on legal developments in the QSR industry to proactively mitigate risks.
Act as a strategic partner to the executive team providing input on legal implications of business decisions.


In House Legal Counsel Qualifications:

7 years of experience in franchise law with a strong preference for candidates who have worked extensively with or at QSR brands.
Indepth knowledge of franchise laws contracts and regulatory compliance.
Experience negotiating complex agreements including leases and franchise contracts.
Proven ability to manage legal risks and resolve disputes effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Membership in good standing with the relevant provincial or state bar association.
Hybrid work experience is preferred with the flexibility to travel as needed.


In House Legal Counsel Renumeration:

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Bonus: 2025 of base salary.
Vacation: 4 weeks.
Health Benefits: Provided.
Location: Hybrid (Remote and London Ontariobased headquarters)
