Job Description

Status: NonExempt Hourly FullTime Primarily First Shift (Monday through Friday)

We are looking for an individual with experience installing implementing and troubleshooting enterprisewide A/V Video Teleconferencing (VTC) infrastructure and technical solutions.
Qualified candidates preferably have completed comprehensive training in the implementation of enterprise A/V VTC infrastructure networking communications and/or computing equipment and hardware.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading and assisting A/V installation teams with installing maintaining operating and upgrading A/V equipment and VTC units
  • Performing preventive maintenance on A/V and VTC systems and related equipment (may include climbing ladders and use of lift devices; requires proficiency with normal working tools must know how to solder and crimp connections)
  • Provides client consulting and training on controls interfaces and use of A/V and VTC equipment
  • Troubleshooting software for Extron Crestron AMX Cisco and Polycom A/V and VTC equipment
  • Provides field reporting updates to Strategic Project Managers as necessary
  • Provides life cycle refresh projects for VTC infrastructure and A/V equipment build out projects
  • May assist in developing Scope of Work (SOW) building Bill of Materials (BOM) maintaining and updating project documentation attend customer facing meetings and perform customer briefings as required
  • Conducts site surveys: working knowledge of telecom systems TCP/IP Networks CCTV Security and/or Access Control systems strongly preferred
  • Assists with voice/data structured cabling installations (pull/terminate/test CAT 6a) install cable pathway systems test label and document cabling
  • Lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds of VTC and A/V equipment without assistance.
Travel is required and estimated at 2550 (regional and throughout CONUS) must be capable of shifting hours as needed to accommodate project demands

Education and Experience
  • Must have the ability to install terminate and test low voltage cables; certification preferred (fiber experience a plus)
  • Shall have technical certifications and product expertise required to provide support services for video conferencing and A/V solutions
  • CRM (service/relationship management software) experience preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in installing low voltage A/V and/or VTC systems; 7 years of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Extron systems required; AMXHarman BiAmp Cisco Crestron and Polycom (Poly) systems preferred
  • Diploma required Associates degree preferred
  • Avixa/InfoComm CTS or CTSI strongly preferred (must be willing to obtain)
  • CompTIA A Network Security certification preferred (must be willing to obtain)
  • Experience working with multiple departments and managing multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of frequent interaction with team members customers and vendors
  • Knowledge of construction documentation and blueprint reading
  • Drivers license required safe driving record must be capable of passing a government background check and obtaining a security clearance if needed
