Expert Database Engineer and Database Administrator (mixed Systems Oracle SQL)
Location: Annapolis Junction MD
Client: The Maven Groups Client
Overview:
The Maven Groups Client is seeking highly skilled professionals to join its team in Annapolis Junction MD as Expert Database Engineers and Expert Database Administrators. These roles require extensive experience managing complex database environments with a focus on performance optimization and adherence to best practices. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in a fastpaced secure environment.
The chosen DBA will perform data migration replication user administration backup and recovery performance tuning and issue resolution on several relational and nonrelational/NoSQL databases.
Basic Qualifications:
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph is required.
- Database Expertise: Proficiency in data migration replication user administration backup and recovery performance tuning issue resolution and general database management.
- Database Knowledge: Indepth understanding of Oracle and other databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- SQL Proficiency: Advanced skills in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and general SQL usage.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript Bash/Linux shell scripting Perl and/or Python.
- Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Java and its applications in database environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline.
- Experience: 10 years of highlevel indepth database experience.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Agile team membership.
- Advanced Database Tools: Handson experience with Cassandra and MongoDB.
