The Reed City Rehab and Nursing Center is a 39bed facility 30 of these beds are reserved for long term patients while the other 9 are for outpatient rehabilitation. The smaller facility allows for close relationships between coworkers as with their patients and patient families.

The Nursing Technician role is a fastpaced role requiring strong communication and teamwork skills regardless of the department you are working in.
This is a direct patient care role and duties will include Taking Vitals Checking Blood Sugar Wound Care Bed bathing Toileting Ambulating Catheterization and acting as safety attendant for patients as needed. Additionally you could be involved in Postmortem care.
In our Emergency Departments you will be doing EKGs Changing over rooms/Cleaning etc. You may also be floated to Big Rapids Hospital nearby for a shift if there is a need.
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological psychological sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
High school diploma or equivalent
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
