We are a busy and wellestablished Emergency Centre looking for a dedicated nurse to join a friendly experienced Emergency team in a stateoftheart facility providing highquality emergency and critical care services to our communitys beloved pets.
Responsibilities:
- Permanent Parttime or Fulltime role
- Provide highquality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in our emergency department
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures surgeries and treatments
- Monitor patients vital signs and administer medications as prescribed
- Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork Xrays and ultrasounds
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is uptodate
- Communicate effectively with pet owners providing updates on their pets condition and treatment plan
- Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a veterinary nurse preferably in an emergency or critical care setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures
- Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends evenings and public holidays
