Job Description
Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish located in Middle River MD seeks qualified candidates for a parttime Facilities Maintenance Technician. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager this position will oversee the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical; heating ventilation and airconditioning (HVAC); carpentry plumbing etc. In this position you will perform basic and routine maintenance construction and repair tasks according to service quality. This is a parttime 20 hour a week benefit eligible position.
Essential Functions:
- Performs basic and routine maintenance construction and repair tasks according to service quality and safety standards.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility projects including painting drywall carpentry installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
Position Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid drivers license with no more than three current points.
- A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
- Must be able to move office furniture and other items weighing up to 25 pounds and to move items of heavier weight with the use of assistive equipment.; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
- Practicing Catholic preferred
