An excellent opportunity awaits you to become a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team at Canons House in the role of Senior Child Care Officer. As a crucial contributor to the Leadership and Management of our home you will play an integral role in shaping the future of care for children and young people.
At Canons House we provide short breaks for children 517 with complex learning disabilities health needs and challenging behaviours. Our whole child approach ensures empathetic holistic care fostering stability belonging and positive wellbeing. We champion diversity promote equality and partner with families and professionals to deliver tailored care for all.
Join us in creating positive outcomes for every child as a Senior Care Officer leading diverse inhouse and community activities encouraging staff to contribute to enriching experiences aligned with childrens views and wishes.
We seek a confident knowledgeable and experienced professional capable of supervising and ensuring the safe delivery of care for children and young people with complex health needs. Your expertise should cover critical areas such as moving and handling enteral feeding and the safe handling and administration of controlled medication. A Level 4 Children Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard/Level 3 Diploma for Residential childcare or equivalent will be essential.
An initial shortlisting interview will take place on Wednesday 05 March where there will be an opportunity to visit the home take a tour of all Canons House has to offer and a change to meet some of the children and staff. Once the shortlisting has been completed shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a formal interview on Monday the 10 of March.
