Job Description
Pay Rate: $31.75 per hour.
- Ensures that all equipment including facility interior exterior and tools are maintained to achieve maximum operating efficiency.
- Performs plant maintenance construction installation of new equipment adjustments and repair of equipment as needed.
- To lay out and plan projects as directed by supervision and insure all carts tools and support equipment are made available for the successful completion of such projects.
- To maintain an available supply of parts rebuilt gearboxes and other equipment to help minimize down time.
- To aid and support other mechanics including outside contractors as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Must have a minimum of five 5 years experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field.
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems and make on the spot correction.
- Must be competent in welding (arc and heli arc) using a cutting torch and fabrication.
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must be self motivated a self starter and able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Must be able to work from a ladder and lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a maintenance proficiency test.
- Must have a current forklift license.
- Must be able and willing to work in confined spaces (Rendering plant cookers etc..
- Must be able to submit and pass criminal background check.
