This position is based out of our corporate office in Greenville SC.
The Mens Apparel Designer works directly with the Director of Design collaborating to create a line consistent with seasonal direction and the Southern Tide aesthetic. The incumbent is responsible for the daytoday design functions for assigned categories.
Crew Position:
- Design and develop concepts for assigned categories based on the companys seasonal direction (e.g. color styling etc.
- Research and stay up to date on seasonal trends.
- Develop sketches for assigned categories.
- Collaborate with the Product Development and Technical Design teams to prevent and resolve production problems for current and upcoming seasons.
- Communicate daily with vendors and internal partners.
- Assist with line presentation for biannual sales meetings minimarkets and vendor meetings.
- Work closely with the Design team and Director of Design to ensure calendar deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with Marketing Sales etc. to ensure all products are on time for sales meetings photo shoots and instore deliveries.
- Participate in fit sessions with Director of Design Product Development and Technical Design team.
- Collaborate closely with the Merchandise team to align product designs with business goals ensuring that seasonal assortments reflect market trends drive sales and uphold the Southern Tide aesthetic.
- Manage and maintain the production calendar ensuring all design deliverables are completed on time to support seamless product development and ontime market launches.

Who we would like to meet:
- Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Merchandising or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Generally 4 years of proven fashion design experience preferably with the mens category.
- Expertise with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of CAD and PLM software.
- Thorough knowledge of silhouettes fabrication construction techniques fit and trim.
- Strong fashion sense and the critical ability to identify and interpret trends and translate to commercial success.
