PitchBooks Lead Product Manager is the strategic head of a product area and leads a team of Product Managers to execute against our roadmap. The Lead Product Manager acts as a subject matter expert for a specific product area and defines the vision strategy and roadmap for that focus. This role champions the needs of our customers pain points and business opportunities across the organization. They also serve as a leader to Product Managers in their product area growing their teams skillsets and developing the organizational structure needed for success.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Champion client needs pain points and business opportunities across the organization and develop a shared understanding of the product area vision
  • Be a SME for your product area(s) and a goto resource for team members across PitchBook
  • Actively define the product roadmap prioritize the backlog and create business cases to outline new strategic product opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmap
  • Create detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements and effectively communicate to stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor a highperforming team of Product Members on the Product Management process and develop their skill sets
  • Establish clear project goals and aggressively measure and assess your business impact while prioritizing additional opportunities for success
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science Math Statistics Finance Accounting or related field
  • 5 years product management experience
  • 2 years previous experience leading/managing direct reports within the Product Management domain
  • Strong bias for action and willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Experience establishing customercentric requirements and writing functional design specification documents for engineering teams
  • Experience working with internal teams with a focus on operational efficiency
  • Familiarity with machine learning and natural language processing techniques
  • Ability to leverage data analytics tools (Mixpanel FullStory Snowflake) to drive product decision making
  • A proven track record in building and scaling commercial data products such as data feeds public APIs and CRM Integrations

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $155000$185000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 10

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a locationbased compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that its helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3 days/week and some are expected to work in the office 45 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3 days/week and that you are in the office fulltime during the training period for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an ongoing basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
