A servicedriven paper and packaging products company Atlantic Packaging has grown to become one of Canadas largest paper manufacturers and a leading producer of packaging products. Our organization employs approximately 2000 people at eight manufacturing plants and four distribution centers. We are looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator for our Scarborough location.
Process weekly payrolls for Canadian Employees
Input hours from timesheets/cards to Dayforce payroll system breaking out any cost allocations that are needed
Process payroll for assigned employees prepare transaction file for Dayforce train and assist as per payrolls when required
Audit UKG Workforce timecards and update
Maintain all employee deductions so that they are kept up to date. Take arrears for union dues and group insurance etc.
Update payroll spreadsheets weekly and balance with payroll registers
Requisition cheques for deductions made as they become payable
Maintain rate review diary
Prepare all increase forms and forward to the employees manager
Set up new hires and ensure all information is received
Input rate changes after they have been checked with the union contracts and are properly approved
Process terminations once correct backup has been received complying with labour laws and employment insurance requirements
Check payroll registers against input backup and time card and batch totals
Update payroll manuals
Maintain department filing
Other duties as assigned
Canadian Payroll experience
5 years experience in a payroll position
Certified Payroll Practitioner
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
Experience with UKG Workforce Time & Attendance or similar
