The Program Instructor provides engaging instruction in support of highquality participant services through community based or onsite activities! We are looking for talent folks interested in working with the disability community either at our sites or out in the community! Compensation: $2324/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Provide engaging developmentally appropriate instruction to participants to help them achieve their goals; instruction may be community based onsite or provided virtually.
• Utilize appropriate modification techniques to respond to challenging behaviors and support behavioral plans to increase engagement
• Complete documentation for tracking participant goals and comment on progress and achievement
• Supervise and assist participants during volunteer activities paid work classes and other community activities
• Responsible for travel training participants using public transportation and the safety and wellbeing of participants while out on community outings
• Participate in agency functions and attend staff meetings and other trainings as scheduled
• Maintain professional relationships and provide excellent customer service with external parties families care givers and participants
• Assist participants in personal hygiene as needed
• Drive agency vehicles as needed
• Transport participants to activities and events; provide route service as needed
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Education Degree in applicable field
• Applicable work or volunteer experience
• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of a Valid California Drivers License/ID
• 3 years of a Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
• Proof of negative TB test results
• Verification of physical clearance
• Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
• 21 years of age for driving positions

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

Employees have the opportunity to share access needs during the interview process upon hire and ongoing throughout their employment. • Ability to physically respond to adults with developmental disabilities
• Ability to lift/support at least 40 lbs as needed
• Ability to sit stand stoop and bend frequently
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time and support adults with developmental disabilities on community outings
• Ability to drive company vehicles to transport participants
• Ability to sit and keyboard as needed
