Job Title:Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Adult Neuro)
Band:6
Contract Type:One year fixed fulltime (TBC) post 37.5 hours per week with the possibility to extend after one year (to be confirmed)
Accountable To: Specialist Rehabilitation Services Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing highquality care and support to adults with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess diagnose and manage speech language and communication disorders in adults with neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records.
- Participate in team meetings case conferences and professional development activities.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications:Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience:Minimum of 2 years postqualification experience with significant experience in adult neuro rehabilitation.
- Skills:Excellent communication assessment and therapeutic skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge:Strong understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on communication and swallowing.
